I saw a squirrel the size of a cat the other day.   Leave a comment

I have been working a ton and have not had lots of free time lately, so I don’t have a whole lot to talk about.

Pretty much the only things I’ve listened to since last thursday are The Solids self-titled album, and Out Hud’s Let Us Never Speak Of It Again

I have been trying to collect all of The Solids songs from their website where they post an obscure song of the day, every day. Oh, did I mention two of the band members are creators, writers and producers of How I Met You’re Mother… which they also wrote the theme song to. What I really like about them is how they sound like a 90’s band that is still in the 90’s somehow.

(Look familiar?)

Out Hud was a really awesome band who shared members with !!! and LCD Soundsystem. They are way dancey and fun, and I have pretty much only listened to their CD in my car for 3 days straight with an occasional break for The Solids. I know, I have weird musical habits. and probably tastes to. Oh well.

I have been re-reading Matt Forbeck‘s Amortals while waiting for my copy of Carpathia to show up, and today it did, so I have to hurry up and finish Amortals, which by the way is a great book you should check out if you are a sci-fi fan.

Occasionally when I have time I have been playing games here. Unusually for me I have been really into Fantasy Online… not the kind of game I normally play but it’s been fun. I like that site too because you get achievements, for flash games. Many games you’ve probably played elsewhere. Who doesn’t like achievements?

Every other spare second I’ve had has been spent with my wife, and really, that’s all my life is really about, getting home to see her, sit next to her, be around her.

So, that’s whats new with me, or rather what I am into lately. So, until next time….
